The report focused the economic impact of Covid-19 on the 11 core cities of the UK,understanding how the epidemic affected the economic situation of cities in terms of the labor market,consumption spending and changes in transport,and observing how urban economy recovered during the first national lockdown,to realize how cities and governments can respond positively to the continuing economic level-down under the influence of constraints by exploring a package of direct or indirect support strategies. From the macro-control level,it’s necessary to understand the importance of improving the capacity of urban emergency prevention and control. Finally,on the basis of the efforts made by the British government to strive for economic recovery,some thoughts were put forward on the direction of urban development in China in the post-epidemic era.
