In recent years，Artificial Intelligence （AI） has entered a new round of active innovation. Breakthroughs have been made in frontier areas. The scale of the industry has continued to expand. AI has become an important factor affecting the future economic level，technological competitiveness and even national security of countries and regions. This paper summarizes the characteristics of the global AI industry since 2020，compares the strategic layout of AI in major countries and regions，depicts the global AI science and technology competition，and finally proposes the characteristics and trends of future AI industry development.
