China has held eleven sessions National Games for the persons with disabilities and eight sessions Special Olympics，which have effectively promoted the active development of sports cause for persons with disabilities in various places and selected various special talents for China to participate in international competitions. Up to now，China has ranked first in gold medals and total medals in five consecutive Paralympic Games. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period，the main goal and task of competitive sports for persons with disabilities is to promote the all-round development of sports for persons with disabilities，make full preparations for the Beijing Winter Paralympics，Hangzhou Asian Para Games and other international competitions，and constantly improve the level of competition.
