Foshan is an important node city in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area，and the only pilot city for comprehensive reform of manufacturing transformation and upgrading in China. It has unique advantages in the urban agglomeration of the Greater Bay Area. In recent years，Foshan’s tourism industry is facing increasing competition. This paper focuses on the current situation and trend of urban tourism development in Foshan，shows the specific situation of urban function and tourism core characteristics，urban tourism demand and expenditure，and the construction of urban tourism core elements，analyzes the main difficulties and constraints faced by urban tourism development，and puts forward policies and measures to promote urban tourism development. This paper points out that “Economic Foshan” is the foundation of the city. Foshan fully combines its important position in the global manufacturing system，strengthens the market cognition of “Cultural Foshan”，promotes the integrated development of cultural industry，creative industry，modern service industry and advanced manufacturing industry，gives full play to the precipitation of Foshan’s historical and cultural heritage and the penetration of “tourism plus” to further promote the urban functional space Improve and optimize the quality of traditional cultural resources，high-quality ecological resources and cultural and tourism innovation resources，deepen the regional tourism development，and build Foshan into an important urban tourism destination in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Great Bay area. This paper suggests that improving the function and status of urban tourism is the key to Foshan’s tourism development. Enhancing traffic accessibility and building regional cooperation network are the focus of Foshan’s tourism development.
