A good ecological environment is the fairest public product and the most inclusive well-being of people’s livelihood. China has always attached great importance to prevent environmental pollution and keep ecological healthy，so as to protect the rights of citizens to live in a safe，healthy and good ecological environment. Based on the promotion of ecological civilization，2020 is the key year of pollution prevention and control. The state has taken many new measures in the protection of citizens’ environmental rights，including deepening the consensus on the value of rights，improving the legal system of ecological environment，enhancing the pertinence of environmental policies and promoting the participation of the whole people in environmental protection. Through the effective operation of the system，China’s environmental quality has been comprehensively improved，the ecological security pattern has been formed，the environmental rule of law has achieved remarkable results，and the environmental facilities have been improved. The development plan of the 14th five year plan clearly aims to realize the modernization of harmonious coexistence between man and nature. The protection of citizens’ environmental rights in China will achieve further development，and it needs to develop in the direction of standardization，system and refinement in the future.
