Policy plays an important role in promoting the development of Hydrogen and fuel cell vehicle industry in China. This report systematically reviews the policy progress of China’s hydrogen and fuel cell vehicle industry from October 2020 to August 2021，and focuses on in-depth analysis of relevant development strategies and policies at the national level，the 14th Five-Year plan of local provinces and cities，and special policies on hydrogen and fuel cell vehicles. It is found that governments at all levels attach great importance to the development of hydrogen industry in China. Policies guide the integrated development of hydrogen industry and related industries，the demonstration and application policies of fuel cell vehicles tend to be clear，and local governments strengthen special support for the industry，which is conducive to the gradual formation of a good policy environment for industrial development. Based on the current situation and trend of policies，policy suggestions are put forward for the development of hydrogen and fuel cell vehicles in China from the following aspects：clear strategic guidance，support for technological innovation，elaboration of supporting policies，expansion of demonstration and application，strengthening operation safety management and information management.
