Garbage classification is an important system design for promoting the construction of ecological civilization and protecting the environmental rights of residents，which lays a good foundation for building a safe，healthy and good ecological settlements environment. China’s garbage classification has experienced the development stage of exploration and comprehensive promotion，and has got certain effects and experiences. 2019 is a breakthrough development period for the implementation of garbage classification in China. Through the unified deployment of the central government and the active pilot promotion of local governments，the implementation mode of garbage classification system has basically formed. At the same time，there are still many deficiencies and development potential needing to be improved. The continuous promotion of the garbage classification system in China needs the guidance and popularization of scientific concepts，the rational allocation of rights and responsibilities，and the improvement of the system and mechanism including the participation of the government，the market and the social multiple subjects.
