Since the promulgation of the plan for regional development and poverty alleviation in rocky desertification areas of Yunnan，Guangxi and Guizhou （2011-2020）. In accordance with the plan，governments at all levels in the area have made solid progress in poverty alleviation and development，the per capita income of rural residents has increased year by year，the production and living conditions have been improved day by day，and the education and medical conditions have been continuously improved in the area. By the end of 2020，all 80 counties have achieved poverty alleviation and won a comprehensive victory in poverty alleviation. To consolidate and expand the achievements of poverty alleviation and effectively link up with Rural Revitalization，counties in the area actively promote rural transformation，and explore the effective way of Rural Revitalization. Using the “people-industry-land” evaluation index system of rural transformation has been constructed，this paper studied the spatial-temporal evolution and clustering characteristics of rural transformation in Yunnan Guangxi Guizhou rocky desertification area from 2011 to 2019. The study found：the rural transformation of rocky desertification area in Yunnan，Guangxi and Guizhou is still in its infancy，the overall level of rural transformation is not high，and Guizhou area has been a precedent in this area；the rural transformation in the area presents obvious spatial characteristics of “North High-South Low”，high score areas of rural transformation are mainly distributed in Guizhou Province area which which in the northern part of the area；the transformation index of “people” and “industry” is relatively stable while “land” index improve significantly. Finally，this paper divides the types of rural transformation for each county through cluster analysis，and puts forward some policy suggestions for Rural Revitalization in Yunnan Guangxi Guizhou rocky desertification area based on the result cluster analysis.
