In 1992，the Mongolian government put forward the idea of establishing free economic zones in the border port areas，and proposed the construction of “Alatan Bragg” for Russia and “Zamen Ude” for China. But so far，its size and contribution to the country’s economy have been modest. This thesis describes the relevant national policy processes and development status of these two free economic zones. And put forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for future development and construction.
