The Yellow River Basin with a large area of desertified land，is mainly located in the alpine desertified land area at the source of the Yellow River，the typical arid and semi-arid desertification area at the upstream and the desertified land in the old channel of the lower Yellow River at the downstream. Since the 1990s，with the increasing efforts of sand prevention and control，the degree and area of desertified land in the Yellow River Basin have been significantly reduced，but the expansion of local sporadic desertified land still exists. The people of the Yellow River Basin have also formed a number of effective and practical technologies and models in the practice of sand prevention and control. In response to the problems and challenges in the control of desertified land，the report puts forward some suggestions on adhering to scientific desertification control，preventing grassland degradation and promoting the high-quality development of desertification industry.
