In September 2017，the government approved the launch of a trial national park in the Qilian Mountain，involving two zones in Gansu and Qinghai provinces，with a total area of 50，200 km²，of which：the total area of Gansu zone is 34，400 km² and the total area of Qinghai zone is 15，800 km². Sunan Yugur Autonomous County，located at the northern foot of the Qilian Mountain，occupies two-thirds of the Gansu zone of Qilian Mountain National Park and serves as an important environmental and ecological barrier to burden major political responsibilities and historical missions. The year 2021 is the beginning of the 14th Five-Year Plan and the year of the establishment of the Qilian Mountain National Park，marking the new development stage of the national park from pilot construction to high-quality conservation and management. This Book provides a series of new development ideas and effective countermeasures for Sunan County on how to better build and protect the Qilian Mountain National Park and resolve other issues，considering the actual situation of Sunan County and the General Plan for the Establishment of National Park System.
