The Qilian Mountain National Park has many indigenous residents，so the task of their resettlement is heavy. Proper resettlement of indigenous residents in the Qilian Mountain National Park is the main task and key construction content of the trial sites in the Qilian Mountain National Park. In the past，the resettlement work suffers problems such as insufficient willingness of residents for resettlement，weak protection of traditional ethnic culture，weak industrial support，single resettlement option，non-integration with the national park construction tasks，etc. According to the ecological and traditional culture protection and social contradiction problems caused by the previous ecological migration work，it is proposed that the resettlement of residents in Qilian Mountain National Park should follow the principles of ensuring conservation by coordinated planning；voluntary resettlement as guided by government；site-specific and scientific assessment；and integration of the protection of ethnic culture with the construction of national park. In terms of resettlement options，the policies should be classified and implemented according to the quality of ecological environment and the living conditions of residents，giving priority to the conversion of residents who can maintain the healthy operation of ecosystem through the regulation of grazing capacity to “ecological residents”，relocating residents in ecologically fragile areas and areas with poor environment based on the construction tasks of national park. Production methods，similar to traditional lives in franchising，nature education，ecological protection and monitoring，national cultural exhibitions，characteristic towns and entrance communities，are carried out to ensure that the resettlement work can be completed，stabilized，and productive.
