The establishment of the Beijing Free Trade Zone（FTZ）is an important strategic initiative to promote reform and opening up in the new era，and its series of innovative measures as a pilot project have had an important impact on enterprises’ outbound investment. Based on this，this paper firstly compares the basic situation of outward investment of enterprises in Beijing，including its current situation，advantages and challenges，the establishment of the FTZ and measures related to outward direct investment，etc. On this basis，it also analyzes the specific impact mechanisms of the establishment of the FTZ on enterprises’ outward direct investment from four aspects：trade promotion，industry aggregation，radiation drive and institutional innovation. Finally，this paper proposes recommendations at both government and enterprise levels based on this research.
