Building a scientific management system of sports events is of great significance to further promote the reforms to “streamline administration，delegate powers and improve services” in the sports competition and performance industry，improve the quality and efficiency of sports events，and accelerate the improvement of the level of the refined urban governance. The scientific management system of sports events in Shanghai has a good development foundation. Summarizing the relevant experience of Shanghai has a certain reference value for promoting the integrated development of sports events in the Yangtze River Delta. After years of practice，Shanghai has built a top-level design for scientific management of sports events，and has formed effective practices in event information collection，event financial support，event certification，event evaluation，event standardization，scientific management and urban linkage. Combined with the overall goal of high-quality development of sports events in Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta，this report puts forward suggestions，such as further promoting the integration of management and service，expanding the scope of scientific management of sports events，improving the collaborative management ability of multiple departments of sports events，improving the digital level of scientific management of sports events，and dynamically analyzing the management and service needs of event hosts.
