Based on the research result delivered last year，this report makes partial modifications and upgrades to the Beijing regional cultural and sci-tech integration evaluation index framework，while alsooffers evaluation on the 2014-2018 Beijing regional development of cultural and sci-tech integration through four dimensions（integration foundation，integration input，integration output and integration environment）with eight second-class indicators and 22 third-class indicators. The report shows that the Beijing cultural and sci-tech integration development index has risen to 148.6，with an 15.1% increase from last year and a 5.2% surge at growth rate. Looking at respective sections，three indexes of integration foundation，integration input and integration environment show increases to different degrees，but the integration input index in 2018 display a decline comparing to the previous year. Based on the simplified Beijing cultural and sci-tech integration horizontal evaluation index system，we evaluated the integration of Beijing，Shanghai，Guangdong，Zhejiang，Tianjin and Sichuan in 2018. Beijing leads the list with an index of 75.6，followed by Guangdong 61.4，Zhejiang 59.0，Shanghai 56.7，and Sichuan and Tianjin in the fifth and sixth places at a large gap with the top four. Our analysis demonstrates that，although Beijing holds an overall advantage，it still has great potential for development. For instance，the city shall stress the importance of optimizing cultural and high-tech production line，honing its ability to convert technological outcomes into cultural fields，and therefore continuously improving the foundation and environment for integral development of culture，science and technology.
