Given the ongoing development of science and technologies，strengthening the integration between culture and sci-tech has become a vital means to foster cultural industries in many countries and regions. For Beijing，one of the important ways to achieve high-quality development and expedite the construction of “four centers” is to push for a thorough integration between culture，science and technology. The major cultural industries in Beijing are showing promising prospects including but not limited to：digital technology vitalizes local cultural tourism；scientific elements embellish the construction of Beijing the “capital of design”；science and technology facilitate Beijing to build distinctive all-media highland. However，in order to effectively keep science and technology in advancement so as to support high-quality development of Beijing’s cultural industries，pertinent policies still await implementation；the creative ability of cultural corporates needs to be enhanced；resource integration and branding can be improved；a solution to turn the crisis of COVID-19 pandemic into an opportunity is yet to be found. During the “14^th five-year plan” period，Beijing still needs to strengthen the design of its top-level structure，optimize its environment for policy making，enhance effective streamlining of cultural production and technological innovation. The municipal mission is to bring forth a branding for culture and sci-tech integration，as well as to assist the founding of a national center of culture and a global center of scientific and technological innovation.
