The storage of phosphogypsum is increasing，the safe disposal and comprehensive utilization of phosphogypsum has become a research hotspot and difficulty in the field of environmental protection. Jingmen City is located in the central part of Hubei，where is a typical phosphorous chemical industry gathering area in the Yangtze River Basin. This paper analyzes the main environmental problems and causes of phosphogypsum in Jingmen City. At the same time，This paper summarizes the urgent problems in the management of phosphogypsum and puts forward the corresponding solutions，in typical areas of the Yangtze River Basin.
