The monitoring and assessment of accessible environment construction is of great significance，whose purpose is to promote the development of accessible environment in an all-round way from the aspects of material environment，information exchange and community service，to ensure the continuous improvement of accessible environment construction，so as to effectively improve the living environment and quality of life of special groups，including the disabled. Accessible environment includes the accessible physical environment，information and communication，community service. At present，China has made gratifying achievements in the construction of accessibility environment；Accessible Act and practical activities are constantly improved；the accessibility monitoring and assessment work has been steadily promoted. At the same time，the monitoring and assessment of accessible environment in China is also facing some problems，such as imperfect monitoring standards，relevant laws and regulations and assessment mechanism，insufficient monitoring strength and scope，and the lack of a unified and standardized account system and supervision mechanism. It is suggested to improve relevant laws and regulations，optimize standards and responsibility mechanism in the supervision process of accessibility environment construction，establish China’s accessible environment monitoring and assessment system，so as to effectively elevate the level of accessibility environment construction in China and promote the high-quality development of accessibility.
