Beijing and Zhangjiakou successfully won the right to host the 2022 Winter Olympics，which led to the continuous warming of domestic ice and snow sports and provided an important historic opportunity for the vigorous development of the ice and snow industry. Abundant ice and snow resources，location advantages，policy and capital support provide support for the development of Beijing’s ice and snow industry，but it also faces many development problems，such as the weak foundation，single business model，uneven distribution of venue resources，backward supporting facilities，insufficient cultivation of ice and snow culture and low sports penetration rate. After the comprehensive and systematic analysis of the development status，opportunities，advantages and development problems of the ice and snow industry in Beijing，the following countermeasures are proposed for Beijing to promote the vigorous development of the ice and snow industry：Firstly，improve the ice and snow industry system and strengthen industrial integration；the second is to strengthen the construction of ice and snow venues and upgrade supporting facilities；Finally，strengthen the promotion of ice and snow culture and shape the ice and snow brand，with a view to solving the difficulties and challenges faced by the development of Beijing’s ice and snow industry and realizing the economy of Beijing sustainable development and virtuous circle.
