In the Policy Address for 2019 and the Medium and Long-term Development Plan of the Macau Industry published by the Macau Special Administrative Region Government，the meetings，incentives，conventions and exhibitions （MICE） industry has been included as a cultivation focus in future. The MICE industry will certainly assume greater responsibilities in the process of building a world tourism and leisure centre in Macau. This article will start with an account on the evolution of the MICE industry in Macau，followed by an analysis and discussion on its development process，current status and characteristics，existing problems，and future development considerations，etc，through which the author hopes to present implications for the development of the Macau MICE industry.
