The official publication of the Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area in 2019 marks a new stage in the construction of the Greater Bay Area in terms of its holistic development and progress. The construction of the Greater Bay Area has given Macau a “core engine” and a new mission，which reflects the central government’s high expectations of Macau and brings unprecedented development opportunities. The integration into the Greater Bay Area can provide new space for the transformation and upgrading of Macau’s industries and the employment and living of residents. Moreover，the Macau Special Administrative Region Government also needs to respond fully to the national strategic deployment，seize opportunities，deepen cooperation，and further participate in the construction of the Greater Bay Area through various paths，so as to practically realise the country’s positioning of Macau in the process and appropriately diversify its economy，maintaining the long-term prosperity and stability in Macau.
