Developing the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Great Bay Area has become China’s national strategy，which will have a profound impact on Macau’s future economic positioning and development. In the Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area，Macau is positioned to become the world tourism and leisure centre. This provides an invaluable opportunity for further developing Macau’s tourism industry. This article aims to first provide a clear description on current Macau’s tourism industry，followed by an analysis of the prospect of Macau’s tourism industry under the Great Bay Area Development Plan and proposes several policy suggestions for discussions
