During the 13th Five-Year Plan period，strategic emerging industries in Henan Province showed a sustained growth trend driven by policies，new growth points continued to emerge，the cluster effect initially appeared，the development environment was increasingly optimized，and the role of new kinetic energy engine was highlighted. However，the province’s strategic emerging industries are still in the initial stage of exploration，facing a series of problems such as small industrial scale，weak independent innovation ability，small number of leading enterprises and insufficient element support. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period，efforts should be made to expand the increment，optimize the stock and promote the “quantity” and “quality” of strategic emerging industries in Henan.
