The research object of this paper is the construction project implemented through the PPP mode，and the research field is the field of municipal engineering. By sorting out and analyzing the public data，cases，and precedents of PPP projects in the field of municipal engineering，starting from the characteristics of municipal engineering projects，analyze the scope of application and development mode of such projects in the PPP mode，and analyze the current practice of municipal engineering PPP projects. Common problems are sorted out and suggestions are made. Since municipal engineering projects have the characteristics of diverse facilities，concentrated investment，and closely related to people’s livelihood issues，implementing such projects in the PPP mode can help improve the investment efficiency of municipal facilities assets，introduce industrial capital and professional management teams，and revitalize existing assets. Optimize the government management model. However，due to the long-term and complex characteristics of PPP projects，the PPP model also faces many challenges in its development practice.
