In 2016，affected by multiple factors，the development of Sichuan’s foreign trade faced great pressure，at the same time，there were also some positive changes，like the emergence of trade structure optimization，the main trade market accounted for positive changes in the promotion and so on. In 2017，many challenges exist，including world economic slowdown，the serious decline in global trade，Sichuan foreign trade of new and old kinetic energy transformation，weakening of the traditional competitive advantage. Sichuan should seize the opportunity of the construction of the Sichuan FTZ，more actively integrate into “The Belt and Road” construction，vigorously implement the “high-quality of imports and exports” strategy，improve foreign trade layout，transform the mode of foreign trade development，and promote the position of Sichuan’s foreign trade in the global value chain.
