2016 is the first year of 13th Five-Year Plan，also the key year of social development. This report collects and analyzes the hot and focus spot of public concern and discussion in Shaanxi province from the perspective of social public opinion. It collects and analyzes the annual popular words which reflects the public cognition and evaluation. Survey results show that the public attention to this year’s various social events with significant differences. The Chinese female volleyball team won the Olympic champion，Hangzhou G20 summit，crackdown on telecommunications fraud crime and other social impact of the incident caused widespread concern. Popular words among the social community，the spirit of female volleyball，the Belt and Road Initiative run in the forefront. In the social impact of major social events/activities in Shaanxi，the implementation of the urban and rural residents serious illness insurance system came first. Thus，these hot spots/focus events reflect the Shaanxi public thinking on the future of social development，expectations and prospects.
