In 2015，China’s marine science and technology major research projects have made great progress in the forefront of academic research and deep sea technology.Marine science and technology infrastructure construction has been further promoted and marine scientific research infrastructure construction is further improved.Marine science and technology development has many characteristics including that Marine science and technology development and national strategy to keep pace；marine science and technology is committed to a major breakthrough in the project；marine science and technology emphasizes long-term and comprehensive；marine technology focuses on the application of highly sophisticated technology.China’s marine science and technology development has many problems including that the System Construction of Ocean Science and Technology should be strengthened and perfected；deep sea，Polar Ocean technology development direction and planning are still not clear；marine science and technology education needs to be further strengthened.

Suggestions on the Development of China’s Ocean Science and Technology including that the major research projects of China’s marine science and technology should be further fit with the national strategy；the development of oceanic science and technology should be further combined with the development of ocean soft power；marine science and technology development should be based on interdisciplinary collaborative development，and should be committed to the training of marine scientific and technological personnel，improving the technological innovation environment；and we should engage in promoting China’s marine scientific and technological achievements according to the strategy of ‘The Belt and Road’，pay attention to international cooperation and share the fruits of marine scientific and technological progress.
