The year 2020 is special because of the spread of COVID-19 around the world. In the face of great difficulties in international cooperation，China and the five Central Asian countries have lent each other a helping hand and worked closely in the political，economic，trade，security，cultural and other fields to overcome the challenges brought about by the pandemic. Mutual political support and mutual political trust have stood the test. Despite the impact on economic and trade cooperation，countries have innovated ways of cooperation and made efforts to expand cooperation channels，thus ensuring sound development of the fundamentals of economic and trade cooperation. Remarkable achievements have been made in the field of security，particularly in the field of public health security. Cultural and people-to-people cooperation projects have also been actively promoted，and some new highlights have emerged. The cooperation between China and the Central Asian member states in the SCO has been stable and orderly，and the Central Asian member states has continued to actively support multilateral cooperation in the SCO. Cooperation within the framework of Belt and Road Initiative has also moved forward in a pragmatic and innovative way，laying a solid foundation for deepening cooperation in the post-epidemic era.
