Beijing ice hockey is an indispensable part of the development chapter of China’s winter sports. During the development process of more than half a century，Beijing has gradually explored，accumulated and formed sustainable development experience，and has been built into a new “city card”. The Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games and winter Paralympic Games have injected a strong driving force into its development. Starting from the development history of ice hockey in Beijing，the report discussed its current situation in the new era，such as policy resources，infrastructure，industrial development，market，event activities，competitive level，talent training and mass foundation，and summarized its development path from “soft” and “hard” aspects such as system design，market environment，mass participation and infrastructure. The report introduced the experience and guidance that could be used for reference to the development of ice hockey and various ice and snow sports in China. In the face of the development problems that are common and need to be solved in the development of national ice hockey in terms of system survival，market mechanism，cultural atmosphere and player career，Beijing can make full use of the Winter Olympic heritage，put “sustainable development” in the first place，and the ice rink leads the “dry land”，so as to make the government，the market，associations，schools，the masses and other subjects “more united”，coordinate and linkage work together to make ice hockey，a “cold” sport，continue to be “hot”.
