This report reviews the current situation of global ice hockey under the impact of COVID-19 firstly. It finds that the ice hockey market has been hit hard. China’s ice hockey has also been greatly affected. Under the effective control of the epidemic in China，the ice hockey events are growing steadily，its training industry is recovering slowly，and the professional talents training is limited. Then this report analyzes a series of challenges faced by China’s ice hockey in the context of the normalization of the epidemic. That is，the “double low” level of competition and marketization caused by the suspension of events，the aggravation of difficulties in the management of the ice hockey training industry，the difficulties of talent flow and daily operation of professional ice hockey clubs，and the grim situation anti-doping movement. Nevertheless，the ice hockey in China also ushered in the opportunities of policy support and the reform of the ice hockey industry itself. Finally，the report puts forward some suggestions like to comprehensively promote epidemic prevention and control and orderly recovery of ice hockey events in the post epidemic period，take multiple measures to solve the difficulties of ice hockey training，deepen the reform of professional ice hockey clubs and improve the doping control system etc.，so as to provide reference for promoting the high-quality development of ice hockey in China.
