The 14th Five Year Plan Period is a key period for China to comprehensively start a new journey of building a socialist modern country and move towards the second Centennial goal after building a well-off society in an all-round way and realizing the first Centennial goal. In the future，China’s social security reform will achieve fuller and higher quality in the field of employment，build a multi-level social security system comprehensively，strive to stimulate the innovative vitality of talents，establish a more harmonious labor relation in the labor market，and continue to improve the public service level and quality. The year of 2021 is the 100th anniversary of the Party and the beginning of the 14th Five-Year plan. Affected by the global COVID，China has undertaken tremendous economic pressure to protect the people’s livelihood in the process of fighting the COVID. The social security system reform also shoulders the important task of stabilizing the society and protecting the people’s livelihood. Under the great external pressure，although China’s social security faced difficulties in 2021，it still made significant progress in various areas.
