Charitable foundations has become one of the indispensable stimuli to the rapid development of philanthropy in China. Through reviewing the annual data of 2020，this report displays current development，capacity of resource mobilization and project implementation. Hence features and problems in the process of operation and development are pointed out. The report shows that there was a remarkable increase in 2020 in the development of charitable foundations in Guangzhou，in accordance with that of the whole nation. In contrary to the high increase of the numbers of charitable foundations，most of the foundations in Guangzhou operated in small-scale and was deficient of social resource mobilization. Even worse，there was a lack of dynamics in some charitable foundations and part of them tended to be dormant. Based on the observations above，countermeasures are made to further promote sustainable development of foundations in Guangzhou，such as further increasing capacity of foundations，strengthening supervision and monitoring over the operation of the foundations，and building brand foundations in Guangzhou.
