Over the past 40 years of reform and opening up，with the implementation of the Private Education Law，private education has continued to develop and grow，making unique contributions to the development of national education. However，with the rapid development of economy into the environment of high-quality development，people’s demand for education has changed from “learning” to “eager to learn”，and the supplementary role of private education to public education has also faded. Through the research on the development status of private education，this paper finds that the improvement of private education quality is restricted by the policy support，the construction of teacher team and the unbalanced development of regional education. Therefore，this paper proposes to improve the quality of privately-run education from the aspects of exploring the new mode of government-supported privately-run education，building a high-quality professional teacher team in the new era，taking multiple measures to enhance the balanced development of regional education and others.
