In 2020，education inspection in all provinces （autonomous regions and municipalities） as well as Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps made great efforts to implement national policies，carry out major tasks arranged by the Office of Education Inspection of the State Council，deepen reform of the institutional mechanisms for education inspection in the new era，and fulfill related duties. Education inspection played an important role of promoting the implementation of major educational decisions of the CPC Central Committee，the State Council and local governments，as well as enhancing the effective solution of hotspot and difficult issues in education. To promote better performance of local education inspection，reform of the institutional mechanisms for education inspection in the new era should be constantly push forward，duties of oversight over policy implementation and school operation as well as duties of evaluation and inspection of education quality had to be effectively fulfilled，and quality of education inspection should be substantially improved.
