In developing an integrated system along the Yangtze River Economic Belt，more attention should be paid to the following fields：the layout of inter-regional backbone links of communication that play functional and strategic roles；development of comprehensive transportation hubs and national logistics hubs；development and innovation of modalities “soft power” dimensions such as transportation organization services；construction of high-quality transportation networks in city clusters and metropolitan areas；taking a strategic approach to the layout of smart and green transportation；addressing transportation inadequacies in rural areas；developing a resilient and integrated transportation system；promotion of upgrading，governance and institutional improvement.
