Integration of Yangtze River Delta was initiated in the 1980s，it has experienced setbacks，acceleration and deepening. In 2018，President Xi Jinping announced that China’s support for the Yangtze River Delta regional integration and its rise to a national strategy marked the integration of Yangtze River Delta into a new fast track. In recent years，the Yangtze River Delta integration development has achieved remarkable results. Between the central and local governments，local governments，coordination has been strengthened. But at the same time，the Yangtze River Delta integration also has problems. In The 14th Five Year Plan Period，in order to further promote regional integration development of the Yangtze River Delta，we need to make efforts from the following aspects：First，“strong market” and “strong government” work together and perform their respective duties；Second，further promote the metropolitan area，corridor economy and mutual integration development；Third，strengthen two wheel driving force that are scientific and technological innovation，system innovation；Fourth，continuously explore and innovate governance mechanisms to promote win-win regional cooperation and benefit sharing.
