At the 14th Provincial Party Congress，the leadership of Zhejiang Province took a key decision to launch “Four Major Initiatives”，which are aimed at turning the province into a Greater Bay Area，a Grand Garden，a Major Transport Hub and a High-profile Metropolitan Area. The integration of the Yangtze River Delta is a major strategy at the national level to promote balanced regional development. This report analyzes the opportunities and challenges posed by the integration of the Yangtze River Delta to Zhejiang’s pursuit of its “Four Major Initiatives”. The report addresses the underlying conditions and development priorities for incorporating the “Four Major Initiatives” of Zhejiang Province into the integration of the Yangtze River Delta. This report proposes policy measures in terms of developing high-profile platforms and pursuing institutional innovation.
