It is advisable that Jiangsu leverages the strategic role of modern transportation，strengthens and guides the optimization of the province’s industrial layout. The province should make overall plans for a new round construction of transportation networks in coastal areas. It ought to support coastal areas in accelerating their integration into the modern industrial system of the Yangtze River Delta. Jiangsu should establish a public transportation operation strategy and improve the structure and connection of intercity railways. The province should promote the Suzhou-Wuxi-Changzhou city cluster’s integrated development across the Yangtze River. Jiangsu should move faster to develop a positive feedback loop for safe and green development. The province should promote the optimization and adjustment of the transportation sector’s structure and help the transportation equipment building industry move up the value chain. Jiangsu should aggressively pursue high-quality development of inland water transport.
