Developing an ecological product value realization mechanism represents a key path to act on the philosophy that lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets in the new era. This research project focuses on the opportunities，challenges and development goals of the realization of the value of ecological products in Zhejiang Province during the “14th Five-Year Plan” period. Building on Chinese and international best practices such as “wetland banks” and “ecological banks”，it proposes five key initiatives including steps to create a sound market trading mechanism. The idea is to strive to turn Zhejiang Province into a national benchmark for the realization of the value of ecological products.
