With the further development of the economy，China is facing a severe situation of tightening resource constraints，serious environmental pollution，and degradation of the ecosystem. How to improve the current ecological environment and how to achieve the coordinated development of future economic construction and ecological construction has become an important issue the party and the country face. The coordinated development of economic construction and ecological construction is an important part of the concept of coordinated development and it is also a secondary indicator under the comprehensive evaluation index system of Chinese coordinated economic development. For in-depth analysis，this report also includes energy consumption per unit of GDP，carbon dioxide emissions per unit of GDP，urban green area per capita and the harmless treatment rate of urban garbage and domestic garbage as the three levels to measure the coordinated development of economic and ecological construction in various regions. On this basis，an evaluation index system for the coordinated development of economic construction and ecological construction has been constructed. It is estimated that the coordination index of economic construction and ecological construction in 2020 will reach 10.51，which is an increase of nearly 4 points compared with 6.54 in 2001，an increase of 60.7%. At the same time，this report also analyzes and compares the coordination index of economic construction and ecological construction in each region and its four three-level indicators. In general，the economic construction and ecological construction coordination index and the ranking order of the three-level indicators are positively correlated with the ranking of the economic development level of each region in the country. In the future，promoting the coordinated development of economic construction and ecological construction，each region should formulate a green development strategy that suits its own actual conditions according to its own development stage，and strengthen the coordination of various regions in promoting the coordinated development of economic construction and ecological construction.
