Based on the comprehensive economic competitiveness and sustainable competitiveness of 20 county-level cities in Jilin Province，this paper analyzes the development situation of county-level cities，the overall pattern and regional pattern of city competitiveness. Aiming at the problems of the lack of comprehensive economic incremental competitiveness，the low economic development efficiency and obvious regional differences，and the weakness of the competitiveness of cultural cities and global cities，We should overcome the difficulties of complex and severe development environment，unbalanced urban and rural development，insufficient endogenous power of urban construction，and strive to improve the emergency capacity，coordinate development and safety，focus on high-quality development transformation and upgrading，coordinate urban and rural development，strengthen public services，develop cultural city，and improve people’s livelihood level.
