Based on the basic situation of Hubei medical instrument industry，industrial cluster and the rapid development of high-end medical instrument industry，this paper studies the advantages and problems of Hubei medical instrument industry. Although Hubei medical equipment industry has many advantages，such as policy support，large industrial cluster scale and rich university，medical treatment and scientific research resources，it has some problems，such as lack of industrial decentralization and concentration，shortage of high-end talents and weak construction of domestic well-known brands. In view of the advantages and problems，this paper puts forward some suggestions on the development of medical device industry in Hubei province，such as speeding up the establishment and extension of medical device registrant system，encouraging the establishment of famous medical brand and regional resources integration，and establishing the industrial cluster of production，study and research.
