Tokyo Marathon has become a world-class event in just seven years，which is mainly related to its strong foundation，powerful guarantee and deeply rooted marathon culture concept. This paper will make a comparative study of Tokyo Marathon and Beijing marathon，analyze the hosting，competition route，bonus setting，medical and volunteer system，competitors and watching culture of Tokyo Marathon，and analyze the reasons why dongma can be one of the six Grand Slam events in a short time. Based on the actual situation of Beijing marathon，this paper points out the existing problems of Beijing marathon，and puts forward the following suggestions：strengthen the construction of volunteer team，improve the level of event organization and service；Pay attention to the allocation of medical team；Improve the popularity and attraction of the event；Enhance the people’s concept and consciousness.
