This paper reviews the evolution of the centralized purchase system of drugs in China，and analyzes the changes and achievements of the centralized purchase policy of drugs. Meanwhile，it points out the relevant problems arising from centralized purchase，including the emergence of “price alliance”，the forced withdrawal of low-price drugs from the market，the difficulty of long-term maintenance of substantially reduced price and the difficulty of assuring the quality of drugs. In addition，countermeasures to strengthen management of centralized purchase are advanced after studying and judging the system reform trend of centralized purchase of drugs.
