2020年突如其来的新冠肺炎疫情虽对我国马拉松赛事的发展产生了严重的影响,但我国马拉松的发展并没有完全停滞。马拉松赛事举办的本质是进行项目管理,因此,主办方、运营方、赞助商、媒体、参赛者以及观众等作为马拉松赛事的利益相关主体,在疫情的影响下也在采用不同的方式寻求自救:在疫情发展的高峰期,大量赛事取消或延期,主要进行线上教学和科普;在疫情缓和期则积极寻找出路,探索线上发展路径,并结合各地特色,探索线上马拉松的新玩法;到10月初,疫情进入平稳期,开始尝试线上、线下相结合的形式,逐步扩大赛事规模。
