In seven years,Brazil has had a total of 9 million71551969 cellular phones blocked. This data comes from a study by the Sindicato das Empresas de Telefonia Móvel [The Mobile Telephone Companies’ Union],produced by the telephone companies and released in January of 2018,attesting to the growing blockage of cell phones. This information appears insignificant in any other context, but in Brazil it is alarmingly relevant to the fact that Brazilians’ digital access is largely through cell phones. Brazil today has the same number of SIM(Subscriber Identity Module)cards as people, around 213 million.
