In 2020，the overall situation of tourism-related public health security in China was extremely severe due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemics. Tourism-related public health incidents emerged endlessly，which were impossible to prevent. Compared to 2019，the number and the degree of tourism-related food poisoning incidents reduced in 2020，but infectious diseases occurred with unusual frequency and more serious grades；the frequency and the number of other tourism-related public health incidents increased significantly，and the tourism-related public health situation was facing severe challenges，especially the spread of the COVID-19 epidemics was changing the social lifestyle. The tourism-related public health security situation in 2020 mainly included：the sudden outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemics caused the insufficient security management of tourism public health，the recovery and self-help of tourism industry made and increasing difficulties of tourism-related public health security，the prevailing peripheral tourism and the invisible dangers that the tourism public health facilities had multiple threats to persons’physical and mental health which resulted in tourism public health accidents were impossible to prevent，the global epidemic situation was complicated，and international cooperation in tourism public health was facing challenges. So here are the development trend of tourism-related public health in 2021：the COVID-19 pandemic is a normality that needs standardized daily prevention from tourism public health security；expansion in booking tourism and focusing on accurate management of tourism public health security；the peripheral tourism is in vogue to need construct human-oriented facilities of tourism public health security；smart tourism is universal and needs accurate response of tracking tourism public health security.
