The overall situation，classification characteristics and management progress of tourism-related accidents in 2020 are analyzed. Findings are as follows：The number of fatal accidents increased slightly in 2020，and the number of accidents and casualties remained at a low level. The number of casualties caused by safety accidents of tourism facilities has increased dramatically. The temporal and spatial distribution of travel related accidents and disasters presents aggregation. In view of the disaster trend of tourism related accidents in 2021，this paper puts forward some management suggestions，such as promoting the construction of joint supervision mechanism for special governance of high-risk tourism projects，improving the application level of tourism safety technology，and constructing and improving the tourism safety awareness education and emergency ability training system.
