With the development and popularization of Internet technology in China，not only the network public opinion has become the main composition and source of social public opinion，but also the social mentality of Internet users has become an important factor affecting the ecology of network public opinion. Taking the domestic reversal of public opinion in 2020 as an example，this paper discusses the interaction between the network public opinion ecology and the social mentality of Internet users，and finds that if there is a continuous and long-term positive guidance of public opinion，the network public opinion ecology will be greatly improved. In practice，we should not only pay attention to the homogeneous transformation of netizens’ mentality and consolidate the positive values that netizens have sprouted，but also pay attention to the heterogeneous transformation of netizens’ mentality and respond to all kinds of voices of netizens in time，so as to provide decision-making reference for cyberspace governance.
