郑州是我国重要的老工业基地之一，拥有38个工业行业大类、工业企业1。6万余家，其中规模以上工业企业2276家，形成了门类齐全、技术能力较强的现代工业体系。郑州市2018年成功获评首批国家级服务型制造示范城市，是长江以北唯一入选城市，目前已累计创建服务型制造试点示范企业（项目）国家级4家（个）、省级69家（个），国家级试点示范数量居全国省会城市前列，省级试点示范数量占全省的40%以上。2019年，成功举办了第三届中国服务型制造大会，来自全国1500余人出席了大会，总结分享了服务型制造发展经验、实践和成果，进一步增强了服务型制造郑州模式的国内影响力。服务型示范城市建设期间，服务型制造对郑州经济高质量发展的赋能作用日渐凸显，城市综合实力实现历史性跨越，经济总量跃上万亿元台阶，成功跻身国家中心城市建设行列，在全国大局中的地位作用持续强化。2020年全市生产总值完成12003亿元、地方财政一般公共预算收入1259。2亿元，进入中国城市综合竞争力20强。
<<Zhengzhou is one of China’s most important old industrial bases. In 2018，it was successfully awarded in the first batch of national service-oriented manufacturing demonstration cities，and it is the only city in the north of the Yangtze River to be selected. During the construction of a service-oriented demonstration city，the role of service-oriented manufacturing in enabling the high-quality development of Zhengzhou’s economy has become increasingly prominent，the city’s comprehensive strength has achieved a historic leap，the domestic influence of Zhengzhou’s service-oriented manufacturing has gradually increased，and the total economic volume has jumped to a trillion yuan level. Zhengzhou successfully entered the rank of national central city construction，and continued to strengthen its position in the overall situation of the country.
